Cookie Policy

The short version: Google Ads cookies only if you accept them, and analytics that never uses cookies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. Related technologies, such as a browser’s local storage, work in a similar way. UK law treats them together and that is how we describe them here.

Cookies we ask about

We advertise with Google Ads. When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for Google Ads to set cookies. They stay off unless you accept.

  • Google Ads (only if you accept). Google sets _gcl_au, and _gcl_aw if you arrived by clicking one of our ads. They let us see whether a visit that started with an ad went on to send an enquiry. They last up to 90 days. Google may also set its own cookies on its domains, which are covered by Google’s cookie policy.

If you reject, or do not choose, Google’s tag still loads but sets no cookies. It may send Google basic signals without cookies, for example that a page was viewed or that an enquiry was sent, which Google uses in aggregate to estimate how well our ads work. Those signals are not used to build a profile of you or to show you personalised ads.

What we use without asking

  • Analytics (cookieless). We use Seline Analytics to measure aggregated page views and whether visits lead to enquiries, and Vercel Analytics to measure aggregated page views. Neither sets cookies, identifies you, or tracks you across other sites.
  • Your cookie choice. We remember whether you accepted or rejected Google Ads cookies in your browser’s local storage, so we don’t ask on every page. It stays until you change your choice or clear your browser data.
  • Your journey through the site. A single session storage entry records which pages you viewed on this visit, so that an enquiry can be credited to the page that prompted it. It holds no personal data and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

These are strictly necessary or cookieless, so under UK rules they do not require consent. Our host may also set strictly necessary cookies needed to deliver the site securely.

Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer of every page, or right here:

If you withdraw consent, we remove the Google Ads cookies from this site. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser, or block Google’s tag and our analytics with any content blocker. The site will continue to work normally if you do.
